Iemoto Akane Teshigahara : large and larger

These videos are a glimpse of the great skill and gentle humor of Iemoto Akane Teshigahara as she demonstrates at the Sogetsu Ikebana demonstrations done as part of the event
"50 Golden Years of Sogetsu, Australia and New Zealand."

The arrangements created in these videos are quite large, but they will appear tiny if you take a look at Iemoto Akane Teshigahara's installations and exhibitions.  It is remarkable to have the heart and hands to coax the blooms and branches to arrangements that are at once dramatic and peaceful. It is almost beyond comprehension as to how to translate a concept for an installation that fills a room, or many rooms. This entry shows how "Heartlines" came together (with people in hardhats!) in June of 2011.
